Imaginary Day is one of my favourite albums from The Pat Metheny Group. His soloing is so fluid and melodic, and complex and intriguing at the same time. I feel that this particular improvisation reflects the whole mood of the album. It took me around 4 months to transcribe, memorize, write the score and play it in tempo. It's a big challenge but your chops will improve dramatically.

Um dos meus álbuns favoritos do The Pat Metheny Group é o “Imaginary Day”. Em “A Story Within A Story” o solo é, ao mesmo tempo, fluído, melódico, complexo e intrigante. Esta improvisação, em particular, define toda a energia do álbum.
Demorei cerca de 4 meses para transcrever, memorizar, escrever a partitura e tocá-la ao tempo da gravação. É um grande desafio, mas o progresso da destreza técnica aumenta drasticamente.
