DJANGO’S SOLO: Dark Eyes (1941)
This is the perfect Django solo to learn, for better understanding of the fluidity and rhythmic pace of the Master. Build speed gradually and practice each chorus separately.
If you’re feeling adventurous, try it backwards (4th chorus, then 3rd, then 2nd and at last the 1st chorus). This is one of the techniques I explore in Coaching sessions and Mental Preparation. Trust me, it works!
All licks are individually identified throughout the music sheet, and specifically analyzed for better understanding of its context and nuances.
